The City of Memphis, with Program Manager Allworld Project Management and Construction Manager CDM Smith, are working together to actively enhance the stormwater infrastructure within the city. The primary objective of this initiative is to mitigate flooding by upgrading and optimizing the stormwater systems. CDM Smith, with its global proficiency in water resources infrastructure, resilience building, and environmental enhancement, plays a pivotal role in achieving these goals. Ultimately, this project aims to enhance the overall quality of life for Memphis residents through improved stormwater management.

 

CDM Constructors Inc. (CCI) is currently seeking Subcontractors, MBE’s, WBE’s and DBE’s for the purpose of establishing a bid list for the City of Memphis / Memphis Stormwater Program (MSQ2).  All firms are required to pre-qualify for the MSQ2  projects. GMP 1

PHASE: Design Development – July 2024 | Advertisement – September 3rd, 2024 | Bidding – October 14th, 2024 | Construction – TBD

 General Location(s): S Germantown Road Near Legacy Drive, E Parkway from Monroe to Morningside Place and Morningside Place, and Peebles West of S 3rd Street North

This package includes three (3) construction projects involving the installation and upgrade of subsurface drainage systems (15-inch to 66-inch Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP) pipe) for public streets, private businesses, and residential areas. The project area is not located near a stream or wetland.

South Germantown – furnish and install reinforced concrete pipe including and not limited to excavation trench (with shoring/bracing), erosion control systems, landscaping, traffic control plan, underground utility work, demolition of existing streets, sidewalks, curb & gutter, stormwater drains, placement of pipe with proper bedding, alignment, jointing methods, backfill, pavement restoration, traffic striping, final grading, and restoration of site.

Peebles – furnish and install reinforced concrete pipe including and not limited to excavation trench (with shoring/bracing), erosion control systems, clearing and grubbing, tree removal, landscaping, traffic control plan, underground utility work, demolition of existing asphalt and stormwater drains, fencing, high voltage fencing, placement of pipe with proper bedding, alignment, jointing methods, backfill, pavement restoration, final grading and restoration of site.

Morningside – furnish and install reinforced concrete pipe including and not limited to excavation trench (with shoring/bracing), erosion control systems, clearing and grubbing, tree removal, landscaping, traffic control plan, underground utility work, demolition of existing streets, sidewalks, curb & gutter, stormwater drains, restoration of traffic loop sensors, placement of pipe with proper bedding, alignment, jointing methods, backfill, pavement restoration, traffic striping, final grading and restoration of site.
